| 1448441 | 2018-04-14 07:09:00 | I had this new build for a day or two now. Ryzen 2400G, with 2x8GB AMD RAM - G.Skill Flare X 3200, just using the APU graphics. Asus A320M-A. Even with just the web browser it will just suddenly turn itself off, the fans stop spinning etc. Have done this numerous times a day. I just pressed the enter button after typing in a URL before the page opened. Another time I recalled was installing the AMD Ryzen drivers, I had the right version already from the Asus website but got the another (same one) from the AMD website and thought I still it to double check. Other times I am surfing the web with another tab with a youtube video. Anything I should look out for? I am gonna run a memtest now. Cheers |

| 1448442 | 2018-04-14 08:06:00 | Memtest 1st ( as you said). Other-- does it start right away afterwards ? If not then, but takes about 5 minutes before it starts its over heating. If it does start -- keep looking. Have a look in the eventvwr see if theres any error report at the time it crashed. You can try typing reli into the search opening the reliability monitor, it will have a X usually saying windows shut down ( no bloody kidding) ;) BUT it may also say what crashed/stopped. |

| 1448443 | 2018-04-14 08:37:00 | Check that the BIOS supports that CPU, www.asus.com supported since version 3203 Because the 2400G is a recent release it's newer than some BIOS versions of pre exisiting motherboards. It may work on older BIOS versions but could end up running at the wrong speed or voltage. Also be a good Idea to check temperatures as Wainui mentions, sudden shut off without warning is a symptom often associated with overheating. |

| 1448444 | 2018-04-14 11:19:00 | Memtest with 3hr running, ran 2 passes. Zero errors. When it suddenly shuts down. I can do a restart within 10 seconds and it stays on for 30 or 90mins before it crashes again. I have downloaded all the motherboard drivers from the ASUS site and also the video and motherboard chipset from AMD site. The motherboard bios right now is 3803 (26/01/2018)which is the latest version on the ASUS site. This 3803 number looks different to that list (AMD chip list) ... I do a reboot now and check the bios and then try to update it... I got to the download page and it does say .. I do have the latest one. PRIME A320M-A BIOS 3803 1.Improve system performance 2.Update to AGESA 1000a for new upcoming processors Reliability Monitor - 8 critical events. 1 is the AAM Updates Notifier Application. Stopped Working. AAM Updates Notifier.exe Other 7 are - Windows. Windows was not property hut down. One of the description says - The previous system shutdown at 10:00:44 AM on 14/04/2018 was unexpected. The other 6 are the same description with a diff time and date. If I select - View All Problem Reports (reported twice): Description A problem with your hardware caused Windows to stop working correctly. Problem signature Problem Event Name: LiveKernelEvent. With Event Viewer: 10x critical errors. Relating to "Kernel-Power". The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly. Also other errros not sure if related. They are "error" type. App Model Runtime Distributed COM. |

| 1448445 | 2018-04-14 21:23:00 | I can't remember if I got those drivers from the AMD site before or after the last crash yesterday. I have installed that over the Asus ones, they are newer. Video and the board chipset. I have also got the Asus's bios (same latest version) and reflashed it. I am running Prime95 to stress the system out and also have Funmark for the video and see if it crashes. My 10yr old Antec PSU 550W worked before, it could be the issue .. but maybe it is this? If Memtest worked fine outside of Windows hmmmmm...... |

Standard HSF or 3rd party? Case fans, how many? Blowing air out at back, and sucking in at front? Cable management tidy so nothing over the board, messing up airflow? |

I don't know when it's going to crash it's all random. I just ran Prime95 for nearly 4hrs and it has not crashed. The AMD Ryzen Master program says it is now at 75 degrees. When I started this, within 5min it was already 70 degrees. Just the OEM provided fan and the OEM paste. Yep, no cards in the system, all tidy, not in the way. Currently the side panel is open. I have not installed the rear fan on this machine yet, just the CPU cooler fan. When it has crashed the side panel was off also. I have not yet installed the panels back on yet after doing the new build. |

| 1448448 | 2018-04-15 01:21:00 | Prime95 was running. Did a restart, Windows spent a minute doing some updates and into the bios. The CPU temperature showed 40~ degrees and dropped down to 35 degrees with 1 minute. I exit the bios. It goes into Windows (Prime95 not running now) and the Ryzen software shows 31 degrees. I wait 5mins it the Ryzen software says 37 degrees. It fluctuates up to 48 degrees. The CPU speed fluctuates from 2.98Ghz to 3.9Ghz and occasionally right down to 1.6Ghz. | Nomad (952) | ||
| 1448449 | 2018-04-15 03:19:00 | Was going to head out did Furmark video burn-in testing for an hour or so .. so I exited the program and the computer suddenly shut down. I started it up without delay. Into bios. Temperature for CPU says N/A and then quickly says 44 degrees. | Nomad (952) | ||
