772726 2009-05-12 04:12:00 Shame about the auto tranny, apart from that excellent choice, it will be a lot nicer on your pocket than a Jag. :p wratterus (105)

772728 2009-05-12 05:00:00 When they get up in the KMs the torque converters tend to crap out and are dear to fix. They are very uneconomical compared to a manual transmission in the same car, and they tend to be very rough changing gear if thrashed, not well maintained or when they get upwards of 200,000km.

But, if you don’t thrash it and maintain it well, you shouldn’t have any issues. if you have a lead foot, however, the fuel economy you get will be frightening in a V6.

The 4 cylinder cars aren't nearly as bad fortunately.

Subaru used some Nissan auto transmissions in some of their WRXs and Legacy’s in the early 90s, with the turboed cars they crapped out real quick.

772730 2009-05-12 08:55:00 Shouldn't we have a bogans section for Holden and Ford owners?

Auto transmissions are fool proof today and unless you have a sports car, then owning manual is retrograde.

772731 2009-05-12 08:58:00 bogan? I dont think so...Pirate? Yes!

Auto's are great for everyday driving but when it comes to hills or towing give me a manual anyday

772733 2009-05-12 22:38:00 Roddy would spill his milk if he reads that sentence, I don’t think you can use awesome in the same sentence with Hyundai, I could be wrong though... Rob99 (151)

Hey, how many other cars are there where the metal covering the boot is so thin that if you get stranded in snow you can rip it off and use it as an emergency blanket?
