771784 2009-05-09 05:46:00 New Places are fun:)

Theres a place in Newmartket-All you can eat sushi, miso, salad for $12, or we can go to the old food court...its just that I have asian food at home everyday:p
I am fine with the sushi place, though the sushi that are sold there consist mainly of rice.

771785 2009-05-09 06:46:00 Recipe Idea

Cheapushi (A scrooges sushi):

Buy a carton of cooked rice from a shop ($3), nori seaweed ($???) and a tin of fish ($2).

Smear the rice on the seaweed, drain liquid from fish, spread fish on rice. Roll and eat like a burrito.

771786 2009-05-10 00:30:00 There's an absolutely kick-ass food court in northcote, and right next door is this wicked as sushi place right next door that has mean sushi, real good sized (not the tiny ones you buy prepackaged) and it's a good price. Most of the meals at this foodcourt are < $9 too.
Otherwise I live out west, the foodcourt at Westcity isn't bad, I like WokWok there, but it's not as nice as some of the other places.. It's good, but not quite "great"...

Who's bringing cake? ;)

I'm happy with Northcote - my local!

I could walk there (probably won't unless the weather is perfect...)

Although Northcote's more difficult to get to via public transport from anywhere else in this city (and impossible via train - despite the levies we pay to the ARC!!) than the CBD.

Henderson is a bit 'less-central', but is accessible by train (if that's your preferred mode of transport)....
