2009-05-08 01:21:00 | Hi, I just had a look at their plans and it appears they have FS/256k and FS/FS only. Has this been quiently discontinued? I am still on the slower one cos all I do is email and surf with my 4GB a month :D for under $30 a month.

2009-05-08 01:28:00 | I'd hope so...I didn't realise they even had a plan with those speed caps on it. | wratterus (105) | |
2009-05-08 01:33:00 | Yeah the reason I downgraded cos I was paying full price for 1.8Mbit and there was nothing they could do  | Nomad (952) | |
2009-05-08 03:16:00 | Yep. Although the 2 I know who use it are still on it, I think its just not offered for new customers. There are some poeple who want better than dialup, which may be worse than usual as in the case of one of those I know - but want the cheaper price. The other thing Xnet discontinued recently was the no contract period. That was really useful for tourist here on working holidays and such. Now there is no-one offering short term broadband.

2009-05-08 05:06:00 | Xnet has also discontinued the XCite thing where your customer number goes into a draw to win cash prizes. I'm not so impressed with them as I used to be and I'm seriously looking at Slingshot. LL

2009-05-08 05:13:00 | mm Dont think slingshot are any better. I didnt know Xnet had a plan under $30. Whats it called? Xnet trickle plan

2009-05-08 08:14:00 | I will hog it then. We don't get decent BB anyway so not paying for that and having BB and have a telephone 24/7 for under $30  | Nomad (952) | |
2009-05-08 08:25:00 | I'm surprised ISP's haven't come up with flat rate 64k/64k or 128k/128k for $30 a month. I'm sure it would generally be more reliable dial up. | bob_doe_nz (92) | |
