773718 2009-05-14 05:11:00 Hi

I'm new around here and looking forward to my stay:)

Is anyone having/had problems with phonestuff?

Over 2 weeks ago I ordered a product which was in stock and with a 3 day free delivery within NZ. It has not arrived, no response to emails and they do not respond to phone messages left.

Guess I should have backed out when their card processor Worldpay would not work due to one or more of the following:-

* the merchant account is suspended
* the currency you selected is not supported
* the authorisation mode is incorrect
* test mode is unavailable
* the installation is not live

I paid direct into their bank account - their alternative payment option.
They only have a Box number and no physical address so don't expect snail mail would bring a response either.

Anyone had experiences with this company - good or bad?

Thanks.

Welcome to PressF1.

Sorry to hear you're having issues with them - try contacting them via the following if the normal methods don't work:

That data should be accurate - it was pulled from the companies register. Last return was filed 16 Jan this year.

773720 2009-05-14 11:05:00 Thank you for your time and information Erayd .

I did a search of registered companies this morning but must have been in the wrong place as no results for them showed up . They have a different box number on their website to the above .

Due to their total lack of customer service I decided to quit my loss at 4 . 45pm and ordered elsewhere . I phoned first . My phone battery was couriered at 5pm! Unbelievable service and true to their word - same day shipping, maximum 1 day . Thumbs up to [competitor's URL removed] for knowledge and great customer service .

[Edit: I'm not quite sure whether this post is spam or not, so I've left it, but removed the link . ]

It maybe a totally legitimate post, but it does appear a bit spammy and a bit strange that only a few minutes after posting on here, they decided to buy from a different company before getting any response. Especially posting the link, as having a link on here helps their pagerank, and it is the first 2 posts the new member has made. Perhaps I am being too cynical.

773723 2009-05-14 21:13:00 Apologies for causing the concern. My post was genuine. I came to the conclusion I couldn't persue the company any longer and needed to put it behind me, move on and get my cellphone working again.

As I was unsure about posting the link I searched previous posts and found the same one added by a poster who had also received good service. I understood from the rules I could also do this. However, as you don't know me I understand you removing it - no problem.

I have run my own internet business for 10 years plus am a member of an international business professionals group (won't include their link!) so am totally against spam and bad business practice.

Hope this clarifies.

773726 2009-06-17 12:15:00 Hi,
The folk who own the Phonestuff web site run under the company Phonestuff NZ 2007. They have run the business since 2007. You can check them on the companied register if you like. The details published above by Erayd are the previous owners and have nothing to do with the current operation. The website does need updating.

Hi stanleybaydave,

Thanks for clarifying that. I've checked the companies register, and it looks like you're right - the current contact details on the phonestuff website match up with the companies register details for PHONESTUFF NZ 2007 LIMITED. I should have looked a little harder!

[edited - company and personal details removed]

The last annual return was filed 9th october 2008.
