| 773627 | 2009-05-13 23:38:00 | Any one else tried the new Knoppix 6 (www.knopper.net) -- It came on a CD I got yesterday. Saw this - while its not exactly new technology (Audio Desktop Reference Implementation And Networking Environment) is a talking menu system, which is supposed to make work and internet access easier for computer beginners, even if they have no sight contact to the computers monitor. A graphical environment with also talking programs Great -- Now the damn things talk back to you.;) Loaded the live CD - Will be good for people with sight problems. But 2 minutes of scrolling through menus then open office talking back with every thing I typed  That was enough. |

Otherwise they'll end up upsetting the bulk of their users (who typically are not beginners and not "visually impaired" - most geeks have "coke bottle lenses" in their spectacles anyway ;)) | johcar (6283) | ||
