774329 2009-05-18 14:57:00 What do I use mine for? Well I'll sum up "Games" as one category, but the others:
Phone Calls
SMS
Web Browsing (Personal and for work-related things, including server management etc)
Camera (Photos only ..)
Music player
Calculator
Calendar
Email
Maps / GPS
Contacts
Weather updates (Yeah I use the phone for that too)
Clock / alarm
Banking
Cooking Recipes (OK well I do this every second day perhaps?)
Portable Wikipedia
Bible
MSN / XMPP
Pinging hosts from a secondary connection / telnet
SSH
VNC
Wardriving
As a SIP Client
Remote for VLC / Media PC
TV Guide
Flashlight
Remote for home video surveillance
Ambiance while drifting off to sleep
And again ... games :D

All of the above I use (mostly) on a daily basis too!

Yes, if I was stuck with a Nokia 1108 like I've had as a temp-phone, I'd probably go insane, need to change professions, or walk around with a rather large (by comparison) Netbook...

774331 2009-05-19 02:06:00 There's nothing illegal about wardriving - that's just a mapping activity (i.e. mapping which access points can be found where). What is illegal is connecting to other people's networks and accessing their resources.

As an example of a completely legit and commercial-scale application of wardriving, see Skyhook Wireless (http://www.skyhookwireless.com/) - among other things, this is what helps drive the location service on the iPhone & iPod touch.

Yeah I know - i was just suggesting (tongue-in-cheek :p) that's it's a slippery slope . . . . Kind of like when people start discussing bitorrents, and tracker sites; they're not innately illegal, but the majority of people use them for illicit purposes .

Would never suggest Chill was doing anything untoward . . . . .
