773932 2009-05-16 10:47:00 Put it this way... I could not live without the search box in the Start Menu on Windows Vista/7 :p :)

I have only a few programs on my Windows 7 taskbar (Firefox, Windows Explorer, Messenger, Zune, VMWare) - the rest I use either Run or Start Menu Search to access. I very very rarely use my desktop to launch programs. Reason=I have to minimise all my windows to access them :p

773933 2009-05-16 22:48:00 Having been using Win 7 now for a week and never had Vista, I personally find having to use the search box a real pain I prefer to use my mouse. I'm not a typist and on my XP only have 5 icons I just do everything from the start menu. And why are settings buried away in illogical places in Win 7 it took me ages to find what I was looking for yesterday to set up my print server. gary67 (56)
773934 2009-05-16 23:00:00 Have now installed and using Stardock Fences. Bloody incredible! Two clicks and everything's gone.....two more and they're all back. Fences lets me group together all related icons/programs, yet when I leave the computer all you see is my desktop picture, totally uncluttered. It's a bit like Dilmah tea "Do try it, you will like it" :):) Richard (739)

Didn't you know this is what MS does just to make it look as if they have done a lot since the previous version.:clap
