866021 2010-03-11 09:37:00 If your laptop has no TV-Out function, you can buy a converter such as:

866022 2010-03-11 11:51:00 I have a Toshiba 2000TE laptop and I use it very often to show movies on a tv.

Here are pictures showing the method.

Note that it is an RCA video connector which is the usual connection to older type crt tv's etc, normally yellow as opposed to red and black or white for the audio stereo.

I just plug the RCA cord into the tv connectors making sure that it is active and then hold down Fn and repeatedly press F5 until it is working. Note that there is a time lag and sometimes I have several tries before I get it right.

Not that either. cannot see any outlet with a TV type mark near it. There IS that 15 pin socket. PJ
