Don't know why you say you have lost capacity....

I meant it said 1.05 GB used but there was only 350 odd MB of files on there....

Formatting worked anyway, so card is functional again. I'll definitely get a new one though.

864992 2010-03-09 10:01:00 Photorec is a great tool for this kind of thing. It's a Linux CLI tool (part of the testdisk package), but pretty easy to use. Many live CDs will have it - one that definitely does is SystemRescueCD (http://sysresccd.org/). Erayd (23)

Obviously there were problems with the filesystem, MFT etc, so not surprising that the files viewable and the size used seemed wrong.
