| 775970 | 2009-05-22 07:07:00 | Nothing, besides being close to where I live, and its within walking distance. Depends if its got anything worth buying, and whether I've got money to buy whatever. Obviously it helps if you know whats in it. Even tho the shop down the road is online, some of the things on their site arent in it. | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

| 775974 | 2009-05-22 07:36:00 | Price Service - Quick delivery Everything comes with a 12 month warranty anyway (Consumers Guarantee) After sales and service don't come into it for me unless it is an expensive item, which rarely matters as we have a warranty. Online stores are just fine for me. ascent, pbtech, computer lounge, playtech, elive. Real stores exclude toaster shops for me as most have staff that don't speak english |

| 775977 | 2009-05-22 20:32:00 | Wow, I'm almost surprised to learn that there are physical shops selling PCs, components, and have knowledgable techs. Certianly where I am there is no such thing (except perhaps for very small scale, low profile, privately owned businesses). It would be great to think that a retailer actually knew the heart of the gear they were peddling. All too often the big stores have only clueless drones who simply rattle off the features on the label, and try to upsell add-ons (like Nortons - groan). Most (big store) PC retailers have sold their soul (integrity) many times over in order to bullsh!+ their way to a sale. I'd pay more for honestly and knowledge, but most customers are too stupid to know the shams. Yes grandma, this 3GHz power guzzling demon with 2TB HDD will be ok for getting email from your daughter, but you'll need to upgrade to 21 inch LCD to get the best from that. (or honestly, you can look at a budget, low spec machine, or even buy second-hand for those purposes) Sheisters! |
