| 866429 | 2010-03-12 08:15:00 | hi there, I have microsoft power point 2003 viewer that I cant uninstall, can you please advice on how I can uninstall it, I tried uninstalling it through the control pannel usual uninstall place, but microsoft power point 2003 viewer was not in the list of the programs that it can be uninstalled!! Please note that I had microsoft office 2003 which I uninstalled it and installed microsoft office 2007, in which I discovered that for some reason I still had microsoft power point 2003 viewer, which runs every time I open a powerpoint slide. the operating system that I have is Vista home basic. Can anybody advice on how to uninstall microsoft power point 2003 viewer Louis |

Right click on a saved Powerpoint file and select "Open with" and then "Choose default program". Click on the Powerpoint 2007 icon and then put a tick at the bottom under "Always use this program ....". Click OK. I am guessing you only need to change the older file extension types of .pps and .ppt. You can test this by creating a Powerpoint in 2007 and saving it, then see what program it opens with. Powerpoint 2007 uses by default file extension types of .pptx and .ppsx. Let us know if you need further instructions. :) |
