| 866238 | 2010-03-12 00:06:00 | Hi One and all I have a USB stick that is bootable and contains files/scripts that allow imaging of PCs in a retail environment. I have tried to copy this USB stick so to have it available to my techs I have been able to make the new USB sticks bootable and have then copied and compared the files on the original and the new USB stick and they are the same. However, the new USB Stick only boots to a C:\ prompt. The file that seem to be the important one is "imagex.exe" I have even done partition/image copy from Acronis True Image and although all the files copy across, the new USB stick is not then bootable. My next step is to try to copy using Linux/Ubuntu and see of I have any success there, but as I am a Newbie to Linux I am not sure where to start. Any ideas on how to clone/copy a USB stick in any O/S environment would be of great help. Cheers HH |
