866815 2010-03-13 09:06:00 I definitely would. Just upgraded my parents pc from Norton Internet Security 2009 to Smart Security 4, and they have even noticed a difference in the day it has been used since I installed it. nedkelly (9059)
866816 2010-03-13 09:47:00 So you'd recommend paying $5 a month for nod32, yes or no? YES-- its cheaper than buying it (just)

Slingshot $5 x12 = $60.00

Retail of Nod32 = $69.21 1 year

BUT they will make that back on the second and ongoing years, because a renewal of Nod32 after the first year = $48.44

PS: I know these prices off the top of my head, I sell enough of it.

That aside though - it is a LOT better than AVG - most people here will tell you that.

866817 2010-03-13 10:06:00 Yes, definitely dump AVG - just don't uninstall it the regular way, as it will leave a lot of detritus on your system. Download the AVG uninstall tool from here (www.avg.com), and run it. This will do a much more thorough job.

You can also use Revo to uninstall if you're comfortable with it.

866818 2010-03-13 10:41:00 I was wondering how slingshot would make their money on this package. rebels181 (14841)
866819 2010-03-13 19:53:00 Slingshot brings to you ESET’s NOD32
NOD32 is the only product that has not missed an “in-the-wild” virus in 46 tests over 9 years by independent virus research authority Virus Bulletin Magazine (UK).

Free 30 Day Trial

As a Slingshot internet customer you’ll get a free trial to check NOD32 out. After that, you get a discounted rate of just $5 per month tacked onto your bill from us.
