| 776399 | 2009-05-25 04:52:00 | If it's that unsafe, why are vehicles still allowed to use the clip-ons? I can see cyclists needing to use it, its a long way round the other way. Walking? No. As for unsafe, they aren't allowing trucks on the clipons now. All these protests though, it doesn't work. They've said cyclists will have to wait years and years for the tunnel. |

| 776400 | 2009-05-25 05:01:00 | I'm informed that at some stage in the past they provided a bus to ferry foot traffic and cyclists across the bridge, patronage was so low that they gave up on it. Now these same people who it seems don't really want to cross the bridge want the government to spend multiple millions of our dollars on a carriageway just for them to not make use it. |

| 776401 | 2009-05-25 05:11:00 | I have made an excecutive decision. In future any pedestrian can use the Auckland Harbour Bridge to cross any time they want. In return I expect to be able to drive my car on the footpath any time *I* want. It's only fair I think. |
