2010-03-15 10:32:00 Hey my mate is trying to remove his 7 partition from a tri boot setup with vista and ubuntu. And he has just found out that somehow the vista partition is logical while the 7 partition is the primary one even though vista was installed first. Is there any free way that he can change the vista partition to primary? Or will it change by it self if he uses a boot cd with a partition tool to delete the 7 partition? nedkelly (9059)
2010-03-16 07:12:00 If he was to do an image of the system would there be any problems putting it on to a primary partition instead of the logical one? nedkelly (9059)

2010-03-16 07:31:00 Yeah he was going to do that but in disk management it says that his vista partition is a logical partition and the 7 is physical. So been trying to figure out how to convert it back. But thought it might be easier to image or clone it, but is there a tool that can run off a cd to do it? nedkelly (9059)
2010-03-16 08:19:00 This may do it (www.partition-tool.com). Well it can change a partition to the active one Speedy Gonzales (78)
2010-03-17 04:48:00 Ok update, the 7 partition is also the system one but not the boot. How much harder will this make it? nedkelly (9059)
