778485	2009-05-30 23:29:00	Why is it everytime the met service forecast snow for chch it never comes they have been very persistent in saying it is going to snow in chch city for the last 24hrs and again on the 10.00am news on the radio this morning they are still forecasting snow to sea level for chch. Here i am in chch sitting in the nice warm sun yip thats right sun not snow. I'll give them some credit in saying that it is very cold the wind is a chiller but as for the rest of the forecast it is very wrong and im sure the met service are very red faced right about now. I doubt they are red in the face. It is just a forecast nothing more and nothing less. As Jim Hickey said last night the wind was coming up from 87 degrees south and he said he had never seen wind coming from that far south in all the years he has been forecasting. Just imagine if they hadn't forecast the snow and trampers went up into and someone lost there lives. :)	Trev (427)

As Jim Hickey said last night the wind was coming up from 87 degrees south and he said he had never seen wind coming from that far south in all the years he has been forecasting. 778492	2009-05-31 01:34:00	The met forecasters are pretty hopeless, there is a campaign by the chief helicopter instructor at Dairy Flat airfield to get them say so if they cant forecast accurately. He says the met forecasting is so often wrong that it cant be depended on. But the guy is a pom and they are known whingers.	prefect (6291)

778494	2009-05-31 02:34:00	It snowed here in Wellington about 10 minutes ago (briefly), but the sun has come out now. There's still some hail on the ground that hasn't yet melted from earlier this afternoon.	somebody (208)
