777503 2009-05-27 22:07:00 The cynic in me wants to say: "$1000 of airtime for 1000 customers doesn't cost them a hell of a lot - it would be a bigger gesture to actually give away the cash to those 1000 customers..."

But better than a kick in the teeth I suppose.

777504 2009-05-27 22:38:00 I got nothing. Meh. 1000 customers out of the population. What like 4 million?LOL. Sure I'll get something....lol Ninjabear (2948)
777505 2009-05-27 22:55:00 I endured weeks of dropped calls. My bill for this month will be huge (in terms of number of pages) as I was regularly ringing the same number 4 or 5 times just to hold one conversation.

I'm sure I am not alone.

I think VF have boobed big time again with this one - they really should have compensated EVERY customer. I was already looking at moving away from them anyway - maybe this arrogance will make my mind up for me.......

777506 2009-05-27 23:04:00 I've never liked vodafone. I know it's different in the North Island, but down here the only people I know who are on vodafone have it just because of bestmate, and almost all of them have a telecom mobile aswell.

What vodafone is doing seems really silly. It got good publicity because it was so outrageous, but apart from that... :groan:

So true!
When we were travelling in the South Island and not very far out of Christchurch, we tried calling friends in the city with husband's Vodafone network. Totally useless. We had no problems using my old Telecom phone.
The company husband works for use Vodafone, but those in the South (also some areas in the North) have to use Telecom.

I just checked our Vodafone numbers, there must be some mistake
I think it is just a cheap publicity stunt.

777511 2009-05-28 02:34:00 I've tried 9 numbers and nothing. haha

Oh well vodafone stinks anyway!

and also telecom. It had to feel special and build a 850mHZ frequency network while the rest of the world uses 900mhz/2100mhz.
