| 868131 | 2010-03-18 09:15:00 | Thanks WarNox and everyone I would have preferred not installing proprietary software and use windows tools like remote desktop as i am not sure what PC i maybe using to remotely access my home PC Reason i wanted is cause i am going away on vacation and have setup surveillance cameras on my house outside which provide live feed wirelessly to my Home PC So i could remote into my home PC and view the camera feed from wherever i am |

You can do that, but in this case a web-based service might be better. (Windows's Remote Desktop allows you to connect using Internet Explorer if you install the appropriate ActiveX control.) |
