Jail them for non-payment of fines and repeat offences. Destroying the cars is just a sad joke. Next time they will steal a damn car, drive it boozed and do everything in their power not to get caught. |

| 776940 | 2009-05-26 10:04:00 | It's not going to work. Especially them trying to stop people "cruising". You're telling me I'm not allowed to drive around on a Fri/Sat night because I have a 'boy racer' car? They've already banned the aves in Chch which is forcing the boy racers to park down residential streets. Stupid decision imo. I mean all that was down Harper Ave was a huge park of nothingness on either side. Can't cause any harm/wake anyone up down there. But now that they can't park down there they have to park down other streets, often outside peoples homes. Blame the cops on this one. If they get them out of town where are they going to go? Suburbs. You can't stop them completely. |

| 776943 | 2009-05-26 10:24:00 | No law can stop cruising, what a dumb ass law. You mean if law was in place when I was a teenager cruising up and down High street of Motueka trying to impress chicks on Friday night in a hot 100E I would get a ticket? What a feed of arse. |

The cops are to blame for people have easy access to cars and the ability to flout the law at will, along with a **** head attitude towards other people in the community? You think the cops are to blame? Government policy is to blame for this ****. The policies that say go softly softly on the poor law breaker, That allow people with crap income to get into massive debt, the policies that flooded the market with effeminate Japanese cars. Add the right ingredients together and bingo, we have a problem. And the ****ing morons think they will fix this **** by crushing cars, ***. |

| 776947 | 2009-05-26 11:38:00 | Crush the cars, mulch the drivers as a sort of free public spectacle. This could all be carried out in stadiums during weekends. As a curtain raiser, why not the traditional match, Lions v Christians? | R2x1 (4628) | ||
