| 867648 | 2010-03-16 06:52:00 | Hi all, At work we have a set of thirty-ish aging Dell Latitude D510 laptops that we loan out to classes when required (I work at a local high school). Approximately ten of these will not charge when plugged in with the supplied power cable (tested with several different power cables). The battery will charge when put into another working laptop. The faulty laptops will work perfectly off this charged battery, but won't charge. The laptops aren't under warranty any more, so if it's anything major needed to fix them we'll give fixing them a miss. I'd rather not fiddle around with the system board is possible either, given their age and value :p Any ideas? :) |
