867540 2010-03-16 03:11:00 I have a toshiba satellite pro and haven't used it or about 1-3 months, then when i tried to turn it on today it showed the cpu light flashed and the toshiba logo showed, then the screen went black. the cpu light and the disk light didn't flash and the laptop did nothing until he fan came on. I then restarted it and nothing happened at all (apart from the power light being on). icow (15313)

Can't get to safe mode hasn't got past the toshiba screen, unsure about getting into bios i'll look int that.

If the toshiba screen comes up i'll try getting into the boot menu or setup screen.

867548 2010-03-16 19:41:00 I'd say motherboard or HDD issues from what you've described so far.

Try pulling the HDD out and see if it behaves normally at BIOS level.
