| 868719 | 2010-03-20 11:40:00 | I recently installed a program called rapidown, that can download multiple files from rapidshare at once. When I scanned it (twice!) it didn't show up as a virus, but now, it is taking over my whole computer! Everytime I try to download something with IE, it says to allow rapidown.exe, and if I allow it or not, that IE tab crashes and restarts. It reduces my whole Internet speed-I am downloading WOW, and it downloads at 12.7 KB, and I have 2.0 Mbps internet speed, which means it should be at least 250 KB!!!! I can't access the internet so fast, the program starts when I boot the computer-even before the antivirus- and I have many more problems which I can't think of right now!! I tried uninstalling, but the uninstaller doesn't do anything-neither does the Remove Programs from control panel! I tried deleting, but two files-rapi310.dll and rapidown.exe-can't get deleted!! Please help me uninstall this program, and I will be forever greatful!!! | zin_onos (15684) | ||

Get trojan remover below as well. Update it then click on scan. Then select all options under the utilities menu | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
| 868721 | 2010-03-20 21:09:00 | I tried deleting, but two files-rapi310.dll and rapidown.exe-can't get deleted!! Hijackthis has on the Misc Tools section a Remove File on Reboot option. Select each one and let it reboot and delete them. (One at a time). Post the HJT scan log for speedy to look at. What antivirus do you use? And what (additional) antispyware programs have you got? |
