Firstly it isn’t exactly free at all surprise surprise. :D If you don’t buy it you have to sit a maths test before you can use it. Obviously the idea is to p..s you off so you’ll pay up. :lol: Anyway, I did the maths test and tried it on a relatively simple PDF file and the result was excellent. I then tried it on a PDF file with pictures and offset columns and the result was a dogs breakfast of epic proportions. :lol: So I guess one could say it would be fine for basic conversions, but not for pictures or offset columns. But I’m picking the Maths test may stop some in their tracks at kick-off anyway. ;) |

If you use foxit, and Office 07 is installed, you can install this (timheuer.com). It'll let you preview PDF files in OL 07. Its for Vista and XP ONLY. Dont know if it works in Windows 7. I would have tried it, if I had Win7, but I reinstalled Vista x64 last night. Since, Win7 has still got bugs in it. And some things work better in Vista (ie: when I record with this tuner, (in Vista), the video stays in sync, its out of sync in Win 7). | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

Converting Australian and US user guides to local info mainly or removing from some tech bulletins irrelevant Aust info in it like pricing ETC.. We use a program called Solid Documents. It's not free but it was the best that we found when I tried both free and paid versions. Nearly a 100% conversion rate from PDF to Word.. |
