2009-06-06 05:22:00 | It depends who was running the collection. There are definitely legitimate recyclers out there, but also some shady ones. | somebody (208) | |
2009-06-06 08:47:00 | Yeah? Where did you think they went? So that one is in Africa, others are in China, and kids and poor people rummage among our toxins. Sad isn't it. Next time donate it to a worthy person instead......

2009-06-06 13:01:00 | The world is donating free lead and mercury, all they need now is to make fishing sinkers and thermometers, and send it back for sale. | Rob99 (151) | |
2009-06-06 15:24:00 | I think that the free lead is already being used in toys that are shipped right back to us :p | beeswax34 (63) | |

2009-06-07 05:31:00 | It was part of the E day here in Nelson I took a CRT monitor but who knows where it all went Computer monitors will be sent to Computer Recycling Limited in Auckland for testing where those in good condition will be made available for re-use; the remaining monitors and all other eDay e-waste will be shipped to DBI Tech Ltd in South Korea for recycling. Downstream processing is provided by Yongnamsuji (plastics), Samjingup (waste glass, CRT monitors, wire) and LG Niggojeryun (printed circuit boards). The equipment is disassembled so that the component materials, including precious metals such as gold, can be separated out and re-used in the manufacture of new products. from: www.eday.org.nz
