I do eveything it tells me to do to get into dfu mode. I have also tried all the tutorials on YouTube. Am I missing something? |

You're probably just getting the timing wrong - you have to be rather precise. Note that it needs to be switched completely off before you start. |

| 868477 | 2010-03-21 04:45:00 | It needs to be very close to the timings that redsn0w displays. when red sn0w gives the instructions to put into dfu mode,(hold down power button for 3 secs, etc.), it says 'then release the power button while still hoding down the home button for 30 secs', but for me, after 10 secs, it goes to the attached phase, and the ipod is black, and unresponsive. have to restore it to get it to reboot. |
