779546 2009-06-04 06:48:00 Anyone know if the Vodafone Nokia 6121 classic will work on Telecoms XT network, as I got one one at the beginning of the year? I see telecom sell the Nokia 6120, which looks identical, so it would be good just to be able to switch sims, and use both.

go here and follow the instructions

779548 2009-06-04 07:46:00 As a student, price is the main factor here.

Which is why I'm stickin with Vodafone. For now.

I would've thought Telecom was cheaper. Then again, I don't make calls. :p

779550 2009-06-04 08:02:00 Staying with CDMA at present as there is no OneBill with XT so it's either a plan or prepay.. paulw (1826)
779551 2009-06-04 08:06:00 Stuff telecom, I'm staying with Vodafone since they give me a way better deal for overseas use which I do a lot all my family being in England and I don't have anything with telecom which is a good thing as far as I'm concerned gary67 (56)

I did thought about adding it but then realise that i only wanted to see the people that are using GSM because the people using CDMA have to look for alternative option in the future since in a few years time its shutting down . The have to change anyway.

Well i go ip banned for criticizing telecom's customer service.lol. That's just stupid

779553 2009-06-04 09:33:00 AFAIK the phones for XT are 3G+ so they support more than just 850Mhz. Therefore if they support other freq one can roam overseas as they say they can do it in many countries, you too should be able to get simcards overseas and use them.

For myself I am still using my Nokia 6230 :D I only phone and text. Hence I have not got a newer phone, plus the phones have gotten larger. If I am careful $20 could last me a year :D I am still with Voda and see no reason to change. Althou from a price point for many, if you use mobile cell internet, Voda says pay $10 more and get double the data ....

779554 2009-06-04 11:17:00 Not a chance. I've got a good plan with Vodafone and Telecom's dont seem to match up. Oh, that and the fact that I'm in a 2 year contract :p beeswax34 (63)
