779090 2009-06-02 10:35:00 Thanks blam, nice to see your still around, As for the joomla I dont think so(no offence) around the time I was last around here i was doing a bit of "Penetration research/testing" and joomla seems to have alot of problems. although if you can prove otherwise i'd be happy to do so.

As for the ird, I dont have to register unless i earn 40k + per year, it all comes under income tax.

EDIT: For all computers I can provide 1year RTB warrantys, as for all other liability's I coming up with a solution soon in the form of a legal document, - P.S As for loss of data I don't believe it should be too much of a problem as i will make images of all the HDD's i fix(although they will be deleted after 1 month unless the customer pays for a permanent image). as for any damage to the hardware(I doubt it will happen) but if it does I'm sure I can come up with a remedy

Ummm. Just how do you fix a Hard drive before it dies? You can make an image off a hard drive before but just how do you do it after other than with rather expensive labs.

779091 2009-06-02 10:36:00 Sorry but i still cant see how you can work 100 hours a week and still be able to think straight. i used to work around 76 hours a week (Mon to Sat 12hrs and normally Sundays would be around 4 hours) and sometimes when i woke up, i couldnt tell what day it is.

As for your Business plan i would suggest for you to gain more experience so you know what your are doing.

779093 2009-06-02 11:13:00 It sounds to me like the first thing you should do is quit the cafe which you seem to work 88 hours for for no money????

At least a comfy 40 hours at Maccers will pay you $500 a week minimum. Then you can start your business from there.

As somebody in the computer business I can tell you that you NEED time.

Time for the obvious things like keeping in touch with your customers and actually doing jobs and building computers, but equally importantly for keeping your records up to date, etc.

You can't do it if you're working 100 hours a week on two jobs.

Which shows you have no business clues at all.
You pay tax on profit. And even if you make a loss you still have to complete and IR3.
You are thinking of GST which is another story.

As for 1 year warranties, I guess so if you are going to be using crap components with a 1 year warranty but even then, the CPU for starters has a manufacturers warranty of 3 years.
So why are you intending to deny people warranty support?

Bad start.

779096 2009-06-03 06:21:00 Don't be too hard on him guys.

He has matured a lot and is now the manager !
How many of us are managers of where we work ?
AND he is being paid 12 hours a week !

Maybe we should all follow his example ! Perhaps he could run some seminars on how to do it !

779098 2009-06-03 09:45:00 I take it all back about hard drive repair.

Just recevied back an RMAd Seagate hard drive.

The proper drive label says "Authorized Seagate Repaired Product" or some such thing on it!
