780225 2009-06-07 02:13:00 I am wondering if it is possible to take out a wardrobe? it is a addition to the room at some stage im thinking, as it juts out, and does not have skocher? sp? board around it.............. currently it is not used, just in the way.

and the best way to get rid of it? sledge hammer? :p

maybe not a beetle job? lol it will open up the room and give more space which is needed, and not the wardrobe.........

this room needs re jibbing anyway........... and probably insulating so might be a great moment to do it all?

780227 2009-06-07 02:52:00 As you beetle-ize the unfortunate wardrobe, try to save the timber - - it is fearfully expensive stuff. Have fun :) R2x1 (4628)
780228 2009-06-07 05:02:00 I'll do it! I love destruction. pine-o-cleen (2955)
780229 2009-06-07 05:03:00 Use a screwdriver as it will probably be screwed together if not a claw hammer and crow bar and prise it apart carefully as a lot will be re-usable gary67 (56)
780230 2009-06-07 05:13:00 Just smash the **** out of it, if the roof caves in just park your car up against the wardrope and call insurance.

If its what im thinking then it sounds the same as one ive done, nothing structural really just a few nails holdin it together

780233 2009-06-07 07:05:00 a screwdriver? it has jib on the outside............ im not sure i understand ...........
it seems quite solid, but when i find some abusive tools........ ill give it a go.... take the shelves out, take the door off, take off the door frame and then? bash the jib? or is it gib? and see what sort of frame is in it i guess.....

might need a bigger hammer, and i dont have a crowbar.....:D yet....

The abusive method isn't always the best - you might have a lot of fun doing it, but cleaning up the mess later is a nightmare. When we re-did our kitchen, we very carefully took things apart, so that we could get them outside in one piece (or at least in large pieces), making the cleanup process much easier.

Is the inside of the wardrobe lined? If so, does it look like it is just the original wall, or has something been put over the top of it?
