Am thinking sell it and buy an up to date unit.

779173 2009-06-02 11:54:00 I would guess it's probally worth around $500, dont know how long it would take to sell.

$1 reserve and you could probally sell it first time on trademe.:punk

Thanks Rob.

The only thing that came with it is the power connection wire,is there much missing, would it have had discs etc?
Cicero (40)
779175 2009-06-02 23:24:00 There should have been some discs, but as long as it has the MS sticker with the Product Key a burnt copy of XP should be OK.

All the drivers are avaliable from hp, these also could be downloaded and burnt to a disc, or even slipstremed to the XP disc for a full factory repair disc.

779176 2009-06-03 06:43:00 Looking at a Toshiba with 4 gig ram......

L300 D a @$1388.

Anything I should know about that?

779177 2009-06-03 07:05:00 I would check it doesn’t have one of those awful glossy screens found on 99% of consumer laptops; they are terrible in most conditions appalling in others.

I like the hp business range of laptops, not normally as cheap as a store bought unit though.

I didn't know there was other than store bought laptops !

What would you suggest and what do these office jobbie's cost?
Cicero (40)
779179 2009-06-04 03:18:00 Most store bought laptops have a Bright View screen that is very glossy, I like anti glare screens.

I have access to the hp business line-up; some shops will also be able to order these in for you. They will cost more than the equivalent store bought.

This is just my preference though, if you like the Toshiba I would suggest you ask to take it to a sunnier part of the store before you shell out any cash. If you like the screen go for it, Toshiba is a good brand.

Are business ones much more,I mean how much for a basic unit with 4 gig?
Cicero (40)
779181 2009-06-04 03:58:00 They start at around $2500 and go upwards quickly from there, probally get a 2Gb model and upgrade it to 4Gb for around $2200. Rob99 (151)
