Hi does a laser printer use leds, if so what part of the laser printer uses this technology? |

Pretty sure Oki "laser" printers have been using LEDs for ages - one of the early adopters that used to advertise the fact. I think nowadays you'd never know - I don't think anyone bothers to tell you the difference (you'd have to read the printer specs), but there's quite a few that do use LED.
The laser is normally scans an image onto the photosensitive drum via rasterisation prior to the toner being stuck to it via electrostatic charge. In an LED printer, the laser scanner is replaced by a light bar comprised of LEDs. |

Another LED printer is Panasonic. I am not sure if they are still buyable. |
