You'll soon learn to drink lots in the Army. A lot of my friends went into the Armed forces in England and had an absolute ball, sometimes I regret not doing the same. |

| 781729 | 2009-06-13 10:52:00 | yea well i agree with that seems like it could be a waste of time, but also im sure it would be good experiance also could be alot of fun in the end.. one thing i do know is that police ten 7 and cops is not what all cops are about ;).delt with cops heaps, in good ways lol.. Well i wasnt planning on joining army this year if i was going too so have a little while to think about it. It certainly would not be a waste of time. Travel, keeping fit, no worries about bills and money, making friends for life and heaps more let alone learning about things you'd never learn as a cop or civvie. If you want to be a cop, join the army as a grunt or gunner, stay there for a year or two than try for a transfer to an MP. |

Most of your work will be clearing and hearts and minds stuff. Depends on your core of course. If more younger people had a go they might actually find they enjoy working. The drinking stories are true though, Ive seen so much alcohol. Also the scenario you'd more than likely get sick of is when your in town in uniform and miss solo mum comes up and smiles and says "Oh are you in the army? Do you know John?". |
