| 780974 | 2009-06-10 20:39:00 | Cheap stuff is never bragging about. Unless you get a 1080p 22" monitor for $300 and 2.1 speakers for $30. :D |

| 780976 | 2009-06-10 22:37:00 | @Zapper - It's all about saving. I work as a student after school, and did lots of research into value for money. (My mobo was free :D) @pcuser - It's all very well saying 1080p 22", but what about the other important specs? |

| 780980 | 2009-06-11 00:57:00 | I'm about to take delivery of one of HP's new G6 servers, fully optimized for virtualization with dual Xeon CPU's @ 2.53Ghz, 12 GB RAM, 8 x 300Gb SAS drives in RAID 10 spread over 2 spindles - will run Server 2008 natively with 3 VM's on top of that running Exchange 2007, PayGlobal HRIS and our current Terminal Services box. Each VM will have vRanger to manage the images, backed up onto an XP workstation with 2Tb drive, all backed up onto an LTO3 drive. :drool What recession? :D G6, those arent the new i7 based Xeons are they?..ESX4 has those performing 30% more IOPS over ESX3 & 2008 Hyper-V!!....I guess with only 1 box you dont need vmotion!, however I would be tempted to use ESX4i instead of Hyper-V, I use Hyper-V as a desktop so I can run local VM's for testing, and TBH, it isnt a patch on ESX. |
