Yes, but apple got it right, where those others failed with that technology. This includes multitouch, and the software that makes the touch screen easily usable. Try using a touch screen windows mobile phone, and you will see how apple got it right. This has led to Nokia, HTC and others producing a almost iphone clones, which if the iphone hadn't come along, they would have continued with their clam shell and candybar phones. I am not an apple fan, but apple definately got the iphone/ipod interface right.

They got the touch right for others but not me. I found the touch pretty hard to use

Yeah windows mobile touch is pretty rubbish. I tested it and i was so frustrated using it

I've been using WM for about 4 years now and no problems with it so far, I quite prefer it but mileage varies for everyone obviously.
