| 780956 | 2009-06-10 03:41:00 | 4870x2. Mmmmmm. Slow RAM though. What is Blam6's system composed of? And where does a fourteen year old get money for a monster? I sure wasn't getting enough when I was fourteen. Still not :P |

| 780957 | 2009-06-10 03:56:00 | Not bad except for the card brand. So pctek, why do you go with ATI cards? I have an Nvidia card because, well, I always have had Nvidia cards.... Not much of a reason I guess... |

I sure wasn't getting enough when I was fourteen. Still not :P I wouldn't call that a monster - these days that's a reasonably performing machine for not too much money. A monster would be a $4k+ machine. Without looking it up I would think that system would come in under $2k. |

| 780959 | 2009-06-10 04:09:00 | Are you refering to mine or Blam6's? I know mine isn't a monster, but it's a huge improvement over my old machine. | sammo450 (13626) | ||

I sure wasn't getting enough when I was fourteen. Still not :P 2 machines in our household. Mines got E8400 OC'ed at 3.6ghz currently, and 4850+4870 I work as a "techie" in the weekends to feed my techo lust....:p Family machine is a Q6600 with a 4670. Altogether both PCs excluding monitors costed about $2800 The other PCs in our house aren't worth montioning, and the servers are mostly just P4's or P3's.... No AMD in the family...:p Blam |
