Is this a 3 user security system with 1 year license? what does SOHO mean?
chuanwai (12518)
869689 2010-03-24 11:12:00 The license will be valid for 3 users. SOHO means its just the home edition I'm guessing. If I was you I'd just get the anti-virus and not the whole security suite, too resource intensive. WarNox (8772)
869690 2010-03-24 11:15:00 I dont get what you mean so is it for 1 year? chuanwai (12518)
869691 2010-03-24 11:23:00 Yeah, it will be valid for 3 users for 1 year. After the year is up you will need to renew it or it will stop downloading definitions.

Not sure how they keep track of the 3 users but I'm sure there is some leeway to this.

Probably when the definitions are updated, it contacts the server which checks the database and the number of users

Its not resource hungry at all. In fact the latest 4.2 is even less. I uninstalled version 4 yesterday, and put in 4.2, and you couldn't even tell the difference with it in or out. Looking at Task manager this is The only listing (www.imagef1.net.nz) for ESS -- real hungry NOT.

You forgot about the ekrn process!
But yes it is not like other security suites that do slow your machine down.

869695 2010-03-24 21:02:00 opps ! but its still hardly even noticed.. I uninstalled 4.0 because I had alwasy did upgrades, and decided to completely remove it before putting in 4.2 - this morning when the PC started, I had to look twice to make sure it had actually started, it was so quick, almost as if it wasn't there. Did a scan and didn't notice any slow down at all.

Customers PC in th workshop - Norton- Now thats slow. :D
