| 869148 | 2010-03-22 01:26:00 | Dear all, I've got a Compaq nx9010 laptop here that can no longer recognise the CD/DVD drive. The CD drive icon does not appear in My Computer, but there is a yellow exclamation mark situated next to the drive under Device Manager. I tried performing a system restore, but to no avail. I hunted and tried to install the drivers for the CD/DVD drive on the HP website, but installation stops at the screen that says "You don't have administrator right to process or No device is recognised". The installation was run using an administrator account, so I'm guessing the latter is to be blamed. What's next? Cheers :) |
