| 781824 | 2009-06-12 22:56:00 | Washing powder (most brands) packages have shrunk in size because they claimed that they are x2 in concentration! Does anyone notice any increase in the washing effectiveness or strength at all? I don't. I only notice that I have to pay x2 in price! It's an indirect (or direct) price hike. | bk T (215) | ||

The real problem is that that little bit extra that you throw in just in case costs you more as there is less cheap filler mixed with it. Just stick to the measured amounts and the number of washes per packet stays the same. |

Worked OK when the top earning countries actually made stuff. But then the low paid countries got in the act, companies moved there in droves, original countries populations all now unemployed therefore they can only afford to buy ****, **** gets made more, sizes decrease to hide the issue of price increases. Vicious circle......... |

WIth the old pack, I used 1/2 a scoop per load, as that was enough. However using 1/2 a scoop with the new packs, does not do the same job as 1/2 a scoop of the old bigger packs. Theerfore I have to use more (about 3/5 of a scoop), and get through the small packs faster than the larger packs, so I am paying more. The small packs should be cheaper than the larger packs too, because the frieght is cheaper, and they aren't selling you as much material in the pack. It is all about them makin more money. |

Vicious circle......... Yes, soon china will be the worlds largest and most powerful economy. These western companies who subcontracted out to these conuntries for short term cost saving, are the ones who have caused the problem, and were very narrow minded. We should be more protectionist, like they are in the US and Europe now. |
