| 870244 | 2010-03-27 02:33:00 | For the last few days Firefox does not close properly. When I attempt to close the program it stops responding and I get the Warning: Unresponsive Script with/"Script: chrome://bp/content/bp.js:804" when attempting to close the browser. I'm wondering how to avoid it and if it's an indication of something which needs attention. This does not occur when I open Firefox in safe mode. I have recently installed the Nightly tester tools extension, however after removing this extension the problem persists which was not present before I installed this extension. :confused: I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you. |

| 870247 | 2010-03-27 03:02:00 | I read a post on another forum (which I am now having trouble finding for you!) about someone else having scripting errors since updating to version 3.6.2. The problem went away after they uninstalled Firefox & then reinstalled it. Version 3.6.2 is working OK for them now. Whether or not their issue is the same as your's I don't know. They have Adblock + & NoScript installed, but no other addons if memory serves me correctly. | catspyjamas (15614) | ||

I haven't got many add-ons, so it might be worth starting with these: IEView BetterPrivacy Xmarks Jedzi Initially I tried to disable the add-ons one at a time, but it became tedious since I had to jump through loops each time I needed to close FF ...so I ended up just completely uninstalling it using Revo Uninstaller just to make sure I got rid of everything then I reinstalled FF and added my original extensions one at a time until I had 'em all....and somewhat surprisingly everything now works fine!! :banana So I never really found out what was actually causing the problem but reinstalling FF fixed it |
