He was off coro quite a while before he came over to NZ. Anyway I think they earn around the 200k mark .

782833 2009-06-16 10:00:00 wow really, even though most of them couldnt be less convincing hueybot3000 (3646)
782834 2009-06-16 10:36:00 200k?

I can't imagine thats the case, The show would cost millions and most of those mugs couldn't get any constant work outside Shortland Street.....

Anything over $35k is a disgrace.

I remember reading that one of the younger ones earned about 150k, so the main actors would be in the 200k mark. I would think the lesser parts and the part timers would be slightly under the 100k.
That is nothing compared to what the news readers get on TV3 and TV 1.

782836 2009-06-16 10:40:00 As long as its less than $4.99 a minute I guess its alright. They are almost as good as phone sex operators hueybot3000 (3646)
782837 2009-06-16 11:30:00 well if nobody watched it (I don't) then they wouldn't get paid that much Ofthesea (14129)

782840 2009-06-16 22:39:00 I thought I was the only person in NZ who has never seen an episode of Shortland Street, but seems I share that pleasure with Ofthesea. Marnie (4574)
