870859 2010-03-29 03:04:00 Could be ram related. How much ram is installed? And whats the brand/model of the motherboard? Speedy Gonzales (78)
870860 2010-03-29 03:06:00 I bought a new computer back in may 2009. The first day i got it, it was working fine. After a couple days i started getting the blue screen of death at random times. I could never figure out what was wrong or what was happening to cause this problem. I've kinda ignored it and let it happen. If i start the computer in safe mode it will never crash.

Why didn't/don't you take it back to the shop under warranty? A computer should not randomly crash and misbehave under normal use.

Or did you fiddle with overclocking and such things?

I got the computer from a close friend that lives in Ohio, he owns a computer shop and he got me this computer for a very cheap price :). He said he remade his OWN computer that he had sitting at his house, and gave it to me as a birthday present. I talked to him about it but we could never figure out what was going on. So after this long time i decided i need to do something about this problem. and idk how to overclock :(

It just crashed again but this time i received a different error, i think this is the one i get most of the time. it says,

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

STOP: 0x0000000A (0x00000008, 0x00000002, 0x00000001)

870865 2010-03-29 05:16:00 If it runs Ok in safe mode, but crashes in normal, that s usually driver Issue.

Could also be RAM -- but check this --start Computer - click start, type in reli in the search result ( should only be one) click on " view reliability History" - when it opens ( may take a moment or two) have a look for items like These here (www.imagef1.net.nz) click the area at the time the crash happened, below that will be a report, it may tell you what crashed, beside the report will be the words View technical Details, open them as well - look for a common error at crash times -- post back what they say.

Does this BSOD say anything else (i.e. mention any drivers or programs)?
Would advise looking in Computer Management>Event Viewer also, for errors at the time these BSODs occur.

870867 2010-03-29 06:14:00 I have to wonder if it's a simple overheating problem. Are the CPU and GPU fans running okay? Greg (193)
870868 2010-03-30 06:16:00 What PSU do you have? Is it decent quality? Agent_24 (57)
