782841 2009-06-16 22:56:00 I've never seen an episode.

I use to be able to bluff a conversation by saying "whats Nick up to", this seems to anoy people now.

782842 2009-06-17 00:06:00 He was off coro quite a while before he came over to NZ. Anyway I think they earn around the 200k mark .
They may well earn 200K Cents, but they probably get over $50.00 a week.

782843 2009-06-17 00:23:00 200k?

I can't imagine thats the case, The show would cost millions and most of those mugs couldn't get any constant work outside Shortland Street.....

Anything over $35k is a disgrace.

And to add insult to injury, they call themselves celebrities.

782844 2009-06-17 00:27:00 People actually watch it religiously though, mainly females. rob_on_guitar (4196)

A celebrity should be someone who has done something we all celebrate.

He got fired, declared bankrupt, Failed stint as a TV presenter, Got fat, Was featured on Super Size me for being fat, Ended up selling crap over the phone in Aussie, which is ranked slightly lower then cleaning toilets.

782848 2009-06-17 03:22:00 I thought I was the only person in NZ who has never seen an episode of Shortland Street, but seems I share that pleasure with Ofthesea.

And me.

I can't stand soaps. Rather watch repeats of Friends, sipmsons, etc.

That should tell you something.

782849 2009-06-17 03:24:00 I've never seen one through. Seen bits of it at other peoples places, or when flicking through channels. Rubbish TV. Is it just me or does it always seem to be running a few minutes late? wratterus (105)

I also claim to have never seen a full episode - however I do get pissed off that every time I want to watch whatever happens to be scheduled to be on at 7.30PM on TV2, invariably, Shortland Street is still on (usually overruns by two to three minutes) so I am forced to channel surf (quite against my male nature ;)) until it has finished!!!
