It is quite easy to set up. Put the UHF aerial lead into the RF in socket and put the HDMI cable into the HDMI socket of the tuner and the other end into the back of your Sony LCD TV. The HDMI cable carries both sound and picture, that is all you have to do. If you want to put the sound through an ampifier then connect the sound up via the audio out sockets to your amplifier.
:)

Thanks Trev.
I have two HD recorders in the system,so I presume they need an ariel each?

784728 2009-09-21 22:04:00 Yes and no. You could try daisy chaining them. Put the UHF aerial lead into the RF in of one then get another aerial lead and connect to the RF out socket of that recorder then put that lead into the RF in socket of the other recorder.

784730 2009-09-21 23:09:00 Not much point hooking two recorders up as the Zinwell only has a single tuner. So, what you watch is what you record (twice if you daisy chain 2 recorders.
At this time, I am still using analogue to watch, digital to record - or vice versa. Like record TV1 news and watch TV3 news at the same time.

Am looking at Tivo when they come out in November.

784731 2009-09-21 23:14:00 The price to pay for getting decoder cheap.
If I had bought from shop they would have set it up for me.
I want two recorders to work,so will have to do what has to be done:confused:

784732 2009-09-22 01:42:00 I just setup freeveiw in the HTPC.
A bit dissapointing: not many HD programs. Hardly seemed worth the effort (sky free-to-air Sat is only $18 per month)

784733 2009-09-24 08:11:00 it is going great guns. Cannot see why it should not do so for a very long time.

I can think of one reason: crappy chinese electrolytic capacitors in the PSU.

for example: www.badcaps.net

If I bought one of those things and wanted it to last the first thing I'd do would be to replace the capacitors with Panasonic or another reputable Japanese brand...
