785171 2009-06-25 04:54:00 Never bought anything off TradeMe, call me old-fashioned but I don't like to buy second hand because you don't know previous history, just buying someone else's problems.

Are people selling new on TM and if so how does one know it is new.

"I don't think DSE have those." darn, do you know if they have anything similar since I am going to have to buy something from DSE!!!!!!!! pcuserwinvista

....and I thought I was paranoid ! :D

Best idea is to look at the feedback - if 1,234 people have traded with the person and they say he/she is great, and seven people say he/she is a shyster then you should be very safe ! You can read between the lines of a lot of the comments. You often meet some lovely people too - far, far, more than not.

Anyway, enough of the rambling from me. Hope you make some great choices about what to buy ! Enjoy the moment !! :) :)

785176 2009-06-27 14:31:00 I got 2 DSE vouchers, grand total $70 plus a 500gig portable Seagate HDD from the people who came to my 60th birthday party at Sequoia88 tonight, how cool is that?

The drive has no instructions in the sealed box, strange, but has some sort of auto-run program on the drive (format NTFS) which I have not run since I want to just use it for storage not whatever Seagate is offering.

So what shall I get with the $70? Thinking of getting more ram for my Toshiba TE2000 laptop, only has 250meg, runs slow on XP as soon as too many apps are open.
