I work to make money of course, but I also work because I need the stimulation and challenge . And I can't help but feel that you wouldn't enjoy the things you'd buy with winnings of $35,000,000 as much as if you'd worked your ass off for them . Thing is many, MANY MANY people around the world break their backs physically and mentally just enough to put food on the table while these bastards of CEOs do nothing but think about how they can still get their big bonuses through the recession and have taxpayers bail their smelly asses out of bankruptcy . Of course, I fully agree with you that buying something with the money you earned is more satisfactory . . . . . but I don't think it's realistic for the majority of people in the world, no matter how hard working to purchase a big house, a supercar and a boat with $35 million leftover . Personally I would never let that kind of money ruin me . I would immediately hire a professional adviser and have $34 million put in a non-accessible (unless for good reasons) high-interest account and donate half or more of the interest to various charities, the SPCA etc . |

I would buy 2 houses around the country and hide the 2 cars there and return home and live at my old home, my old car, take the bus every morning at 6 . 55am to work . I would probably still travel in sales only in economy class, stay at hostels and guesthouses (own rooms with own showers) . Eat where the locals eat . I may spend more time into say photography and get some sales going for my hobby or into a venture . Maybe a overseas bach . But then my own b-day and Xmas is just another day, I didn't celebrate my graduation, didn't celebrate when I got a new job, that is just life . Life carries on . . . . . But then I haven't bought a ticket for a good 5yrs . I mean in a way, I don't mind if I didn't win . I guess by not winning I am unable to know one thing and live a life at the normal extreme . |
