872272 2010-04-02 21:42:00 MM have you installed any drivers recently then? Is it Windows 7 32 or 64 bit?Only one I"ve installed recently are the Nvidia drivers this morning, and that's since this problem appeared... I haven't installed any other drivers for a while.

Win 7 Pro 64bit.

Cheers,
Mike.

872273 2010-04-02 21:46:00 Can you find another PC to plug the monitor into? Sweep (90)
872274 2010-04-02 21:57:00 Looks like that stop error may mean some driver you've installed isnt compatible with x64

What hardware is in the case (besides the hdd, ram, and cd/dvd)?? As in cards?

872275 2010-04-02 21:58:00 Any updates can have an effect on other drivers, one PC here, theres one MS update that plays hell with my nod32 - the other PC's its fine.

Try as the others have suggested a different Monitor / PC combination.

CRT's can and do die all of a sudden, BUT it seems odd that the fatal error message from windows and the monitor playing silly buggers happened all at the same time.

872276 2010-04-02 22:12:00 OK :)

System restore hasn't helped.

And I tried plugging into a different computer... same issue still... so it's hardware :(

Any more ideas? :)

Mike.

872277 2010-04-02 22:15:00 Time for another monitor then. Altho, I dont think the monitor is causing the stop error Speedy Gonzales (78)
872278 2010-04-03 00:35:00 Can you upload or email that Memory Dump file so we can have a look at it.

Its not a normal txt file so needs certain tools to read it.

It's worthwhile doing it if you can. Some time back I went and bought a new monitor. The old one still works.

I eventually traced the fault to the graphic card itself rather than drivers or the O/S. It looked like the monitor developed dead pixels in my case.

872280 2010-04-04 08:36:00 The problem looks visually like a faulty monitor, but the BSOD errors seem to point to faulty graphics card...

It could be either, a badly faulty monitor could be doing something to the graphics card and causing issues
