872907 2010-04-04 21:20:00 I am looking at installing XP, 7 and Ubuntu on the computer in my sig. How hard will it be to set up a quad boot? And what order should I install them? nedkelly (9059)
872908 2010-04-04 21:34:00 Do you want to use Grub as the bootloader? And that is only a tri boot but I would go XP, & and then Ubuntu as Grub would then pick up the two windows installs gary67 (56)
872909 2010-04-04 21:34:00 Start with XP, then Vista, Win7 and finally Ubuntu.
That is the easiest way although you can do it in any order really.

872910 2010-04-04 21:37:00 @Gary67: I currently have Vista 64 bit running on the pc, not really sure about the bootloader. I was told that it would use both.
@KarameaDave: I dont really want to have to reinstall my Vista 64 bit, so would that make it hard to do?

872912 2010-04-04 21:39:00 agreed. Also on another note the time on the forums is wrong. Or is that just me?

Edit: Never mind had wrong DST settings.

872913 2010-04-04 21:42:00 When you install XP it will overwrite the Vista boot files.
just do a boot repair to fix that and the rest should be simple

872915 2010-04-04 22:02:00 and just use EasyBCD to fix the Bootmanager after the xp and 7 install? nedkelly (9059)
872916 2010-04-04 22:27:00 Yeah that should work.
Grub2 in Ubuntu should pick them all up anyway.
