872395 2010-04-02 23:31:00 Good luck with that gfx card. You can blow almost the whole budget on that alone. Sweep (90)
872396 2010-04-02 23:33:00 Need a LOT more information as to what you want - Saying "oh yea it needs an awesome gfx card "

A "Awesome" card alone could cost you almost all of your budget This card (www.ascent.co.nz) for example.

What sort of CPU,AMD / Intel, if Intel, i5 ??? Crossfire / SLI as well ??

872397 2010-04-02 23:40:00 The card wainuitech suggest is very good. That will leave you about $215 for the rest of the system. Sweep (90)

872399 2010-04-03 10:22:00 Change the 4850's for a 5850 and you've got yourself a system. (www.tomshardware.com)
Also, I'd go for a 1000 or 1500GB HDD. But that's just me.

Ranked list of NZ computer retailers (www.gpforums.co.nz)

I try to go with ComputerLounge, Ascent or PP.

Can't happen.
Totally impossible,
Cheap and powerful and gaming all in the same requirements - not going to happen.

You can have high end and expensive, or cheap and low end or something in between.

As has been said, you can spend loads on just the graphics card. Keep saving.

872403 2010-04-03 22:02:00 There's no such animal as a good $1500 PC. All you'll get for that is what is euphamisticly called "entry level". JJJJJ (528)
