786796 2009-06-29 01:20:00 Poltergeist?

How old was the light? - might have been an imperfection in the glass...

786800 2009-06-29 01:44:00 Ah! There's your problem - mushrooms are supposed to be kept in the dark. I bet you lit this one up!!! :D johcar (6283)

786802 2009-06-29 03:30:00 I've had one explode. It happens. AvonBill (11358)
786803 2009-06-29 04:42:00 I could see that happening if a crack developed in the glass, allowing oxygen in. Quite entertaining to watch a filament go when exposed to air - as opposed to the inert gas that should surround it.
And we're on 230v, the real deal.

786804 2009-06-29 05:08:00 I suspect they actually implode, rather than explode. :2cents: Richard (739)
