| 786312 | 2009-06-27 07:27:00 | Because it'll probably get rusty, (depending on HOW long you leave it there), you'll get food / lead poisoning, and you'll die. And it may contaminate other things in the fridge | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

I always bung half full cans in the fridge, never yet pulled out a rusty can. Much ado about nothing. |

| 786315 | 2009-06-27 07:44:00 | I always eat the food within 3 days. But I notice on cans occasionally instructions saying something like 'if not eaten straight away, remove from can and store in a plastic container for upto 3 days in the fridge' I think Cicero is on the right track. Thanks |

| 786317 | 2009-06-27 09:58:00 | you'll get food / lead poisoning Tin cans are not made solely of tin or lead, but rather tin-coated steel called tinplate. Early cans were sealed with lead soldering but not now. Often the top is tin-plated steel and the rest of the can aluminium. |
